Hello!

So nice to meet you! My name is Chloe - more often known as ‘Clo’, or “the girl in boots with the cameras.”

First off, I am so excited that you have stopped by!

I am the sole happy snapper here at Chloe Smith Photography, based out of Bendigo in Country Victoria. I also work as a photographer for ‘The Weekly Times’, a Victoria-wide agricultural newspaper that has been the voice of the country since 1869.

I grew up in a small country town called Lancefield, surrounded by friendly people, livestock and open spaces. It was here that I developed a love for the countryside, and a real appreciation for the simplest of moments - something that has turned into my source of inspiration and way I see the world. As a youngster, I was always into painting and drawing. It wasn’t until year 12 that I properly picked up a camera and fell in love with capturing golden moments.

Other loves of mine are being on the road knocking up those k’s (my absolute happy place), adventuring outdoors in the sun, and of course, spending time with my four-legged rescue mate, Dusty, who is pretty much glued to the side of my hip. I also love camping, horse riding, anything to do with cattle and sheep, chocolate, and a bloody good pair of boots!

My approach to photography is one with much enthusiasm, probably too much talking, and getting excited way too much. The way the light dances on subjects can make me the happiest girl alive! I thrive on outdoor shoots and playing with natural light, and always aim to sneak in some raw and candid moments that often go unnoticed.
My best days of work involve coming home covered in dust and mud with my boots real dirty - it always puts a big grin on my face!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my work!

Kindest,
Clo
